Taeho Yu is an Assistant Professor at the School of Data Science. Yu has expertise in instructional design and technology, teaching pedagogies and strategies, competency-based learning, and student satisfaction and learning outcomes.
Prior to joining the School of Data Science in 2021, Yu was an Assistant Professor in Instructional Design and Technology at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at UVA. Before coming to UVA, Yu was the Director of the Korea Competency-Based Education Research Institute in South Korea.
Yu holds a PH.D. in Educational Technology from Purdue University. He earned a Master of Pacific International Affairs (MPIA) in International Politics from the University of California, San Diego. He also has an M.A. in Cyber Communication from Kyung Hee University and B.A. in Journalism from Kyung Hee University.
