Ali Rivera is a Data Scientist at the University of Virginia’s School of Data Science, where she supports undergraduate programs and applies data science methods in education research. She holds an M.S. in Data Science from UVA and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Subject Matter Education from Rowan University. Before transitioning into data science, Ali taught high school chemistry in New Jersey, an experience that continues to shape her student-centered approach. With a background that bridges science, education, and analytics, she combines technical expertise and teaching experience to develop tools and insights that enhance educational practices and promote student success.
